Citrix announced that they would soon offer a free version of its XenServer visualisation software.
Free version will be somewhat weaker, but will offer the ability to manage with more nodes, sharing of resources between the server and able to offer a complete "live-motion." In relation to the full version that is in the U.S. in sales at a price between 1000 and 5000 U.S. dollars are missing opportunities, such as tools for automating common tasks and Workflow Studio StorageLink function that allows easy preparation of virtual machines.
XenServera free version should be available for downloading from Citrixovih site by the end of March.
