Sony touchscreen Walkman
Traditionally well-informed insider Sony, Sony will be the beginning of the year at the fair to present the CES multimedia player with a screen sensitive to touch. With reference to unnamed (but, of course, reliable) sources, competition Sony iPod touch will come in capacities of 16 and 32 GB. Screen will be WQVGA resolution, instead of a standard LCD and should be used with oled contrast of 10.000:1. Thus, the quality of the display will be far ahead of any LCD screen with a better depiction of color and larger viewing angle, while the low consumption of the screen have a beneficial effect on the battery. All the possibilities of old Walkman will be retained, but coming, and some new ones. In the first place, there is integrated support for YouTube that while listening to certain songs offers a direct link to the music spot. In addition will be added support for a subscription to the podcaste, and the format will be able to play MP3, WMA, AAC and PCM for audio, and H.264, MPEG-4 and WMV video. In addition, the new Walkman will be possible to listen to FM radio and view Web pages. Details related to the price are not known, and more information will be available at CES in which takes place from 8 to 11 January in Las Vegas.
